Here is my latest idea…paisley beads. Hand shaped and painted, can only paint a few at a time as my eyes get tired! They are raw and all ready for the kiln, I wonder how they will turn out.
Here are the results from my tests with melting glass beads into clay. Definitely something I am going to keep going with. I think they would look better if I melted the beads into white clay as the terracotta obscures the colour of the glass. I used small seed beads in blue, rainbow and purple. … [Read more…]
