In the beginning

Finally after 12 years…I think it has been that long, I have set up a small pottery studio in Cobargo on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

I attended, a kumihimo cord workshop, at a bead shop in Cobargo. While I was there one of the owners  suggested I make some ceramic beads. I thought,  wow what a good idea, I hadn’t even considered making beads. I had just set up a small studio space with a small electric kiln, so it just made sense.

And so my journey into bead making started. If you would like to buy any of my beads or jewellery please check out my online shop.

chook beadsThe first beads off the rank were these cheeky clay chickens or chooks, as I like to call them. Here are a couple fired in a gloss glaze.
